Past & Present: American Cream Ale (5.0%) A 19th Century American original created by ale brewers to compete with German-style lagers of the time. As we like to do throughout our Past & Present series, we updated our version by including Yakima Valley Loral hops in addition to Czech Saaz hops on a traditional base of German-grown pilsner malt and flaked corn. And no, Cream Ales don’t contain cream.
